There are two jars of equal capacity. In the first jar is one amoeba; in the second, two. An amoeba reproduces itself in three minutes. It takes the two amoebas in the second jar three hours fill the jar to capacity. How long does it take the amoeba in the first jar to fill that jar to capacity?

Tips to improve your Vocabulary

3. Use flash cards. Scan the dictionary for words you are unfamiliar with. Write them on a flash card. Use the flash cards as much as possible.
4. Keep a notebook to help you remember what you've learnt.
