A barge with one man and a load of iron scrap is on a barge floating in a lock in the Panama Canal. If the man throws some iron off the barge into the water, what will happen to the water level on the side of the lock?

water level will remain same.
No extra water will be displaced for weight put into water later was initially displacing the same water when they were in boat

water level may increase due to the displacement by the iron scrap.
but,i don,t think that it could be so simple.
