Most Difficult Riddle: Einstein Riddle

Most Difficult Riddle: One of my friend have forwarded me this mentioning the background. It claims that this mathematical puzzle was created by Einstein. Though we don’t vouch for this claim but in any case it is very interesting to solve this. So guys go ahead and solve. We are ready to give the solutions too, if you all fail to solve it. But hope that’s not the case. All the best!

Albert Einstein created this riddle in the late 1800s, and claimed that 98% of the world population couldn’t solve it. It is a good brain exercise. Here it is:

– In a street there are five houses, painted five different colors.

– In each house lives a person of different nationality.

– These five homeowners each drink a different kind of beverage, smoke different brand of cigar and keep a different pet.

  1. UFF WHAT A PUZZLE GOT MY WITTS OUT AND FRIED IN A PAN

    ANSWER

    1) NORWEGIA YELLOW DUNHILL WATER CAT

    2) DANISH BLUE BLENDS TEA HORSES

    3) BRITISH RED PALLMALL MILK BIRDS

    4) SWEDISH WHITE BLUE MASTER BEER DOG

    5) GERMAN GREEN PRINCE COFFEE FISH

  2. Nice. almost exactly what I did. for me, after placing Norwegian in house 1, blue for house 2 and milk in house 3 – was easier to place green as house 4 and white as house 5. Because green is left of white – so green has to be 3 or 4. But the owner of green house drinks coffee – so 3 cannot be green (milk for 3). So green is 4, white is 5. Brit lives in red house – so house 3 is red with Brit. House 1 becomes yellow with Norwegian.

    The rest kind of follows…:)

  3. make 5 rows for nationality,colour,pet.beverage n cigar
    name the rows.

munirazam20: ok lets start with condition 9..
    norawyin lives in first..

munirazam20: condition 8… centre man drinks milk

munirazam20: so fill milk against beverage in 3rd column 4th row

munirazam20: 14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.

munirazam20: since he is left most
so blue will be second house

munirazam20: 4 th condition now green house is left to and next to white. So 1st house can not be green or white and 1st condition.. british is red.. o only yellow is there for norwayign
    got it?

    munirazam20: again… Yellow house owner smokes dunhill… condition 7

munirazam20: 11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
so horse is pet of second person..

    munirazam20: now concentrate on beverages
and tell me what is preferred by second person..

    munirazam20: 4 beveraghes are left

munirazam20: danish takess tea, green house coffee, blue master beer, middle one milk so water is with norwayeign
because he lives in yellow house, smokes dunhill, lives in first house, doesnt smokes blue master and he is not danish also..

    munirazam20: now condition 15th
blend smoker is next to water drinker
and 10th condition.. blend smkr is next to cat owner
    so cat is norwayigns pet

munirazam20: what is condition of your excel?
    1st colunm complterd ?

    munirazam20: now second one…..

    munirazam20: norway,yellow,cat,water,dunhill..
    in 1st column

    munirazam20: now second column…
tell me nationality of second person..

    gausia: yupp
    Danish

    munirazam20: gud
    justify..
    now second column completed?

    munirazam20: why?

munirazam20: danish tea peeta hai na

    munirazam20: now what next?

munirazam20: horse wali condition kya hai dekho pahle
    dekha ki nahi?
    11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.

    u thr?
now look three colours are left white green and red.
White and green are together and geen man drinks coffe so green and white are last homes
and red will be middle one..

    red green white…sequence..
red drinks milk.. green coffee …so white must drink beer..
White drinks beer and blue master as per given condition..
and white and red cant be german as german smokes prince and her is not british..
So british shud smoke pall mall and rear birds,…
And white will be swedish so he’ll have dog as pe..NOw german is left without any pet .. so he must have fish……..
