Dear Friends,

I am presenting to you a very interesting riddle. Once you get the answer to this you can pose this riddle to your friends, etc. I am sure most of them will not be able to solve the mystery of the missing rupee.

**Riddle: Mystery of Missing Rupee**

Three men walk into a hotel and rent a room for Rs. 30. They contribute towards the room rent equally. So each one of the paid Rs. 10

The hotel manager after sometime realized the room rent should have been only Rs. 25 rupees. So he sent the dishonest bellboy and told him to give Rs. 5 back to the men.

The bellboy cheated and gave each one of them Re. 1 back.

Now you know Rs. 27 (10-1 = Rs. 9 each) is paid by the 3 men and Rs. 2 is with the bell boy. That makes it Rs. 29 (27+2), so where is the remaining Re.1

**This question is actually meant to be asked when you are face to face with the other person.

I think its effectiveness and punch was somewhat lost in written words. Nevertheless, give it try and enjoy asking it to others.

Rent taken is 25,

3rs is distributed to 3 people

Total comes 28. How did u say that three people paid 9 each..

BHEN KE LODO GALLT QUESTION HAI YE

Here

10+10+10=30.after giving Rs5 to the boy he had taken 2 with him so (30-2=27);so each of the roomates contribues Rs9/- .Here Rs2 already included in 27 so no need to add it again.

Therfore each had Rs1/- in return so (3+2)+27=30.

try studying in Lower KG and Upper KG first and then try to solve logical reasoning

Loss of 3 men=gain of waiter +gain of hotel manager

(9*3)=2+25

27=27

Hence proved

three frinds actually had 30 rs… they got rs 3 back…

belly boy kept 2 Rs…

manager kept all he needed ie. Rs 25

Now count…

Friends have Rs. (3)+ Manger Had (25) + Bell boy had (2)= 3+25+2=30

go ask the bellboy

each paid Rs 9/- so the total amount is Rs 27/- of which Rs 25/- goes to manager

and Rs 2/- to the bell boy.

5 rupees cannot b distributed equally among 3men.(if u consider whole numbers)so two men should get 1 re each and the third person should get 3 rs.the bellboy gives 2 rs to two men.and pays the third man 1re.he keeps 2 rs wid himself.

actually they paid 27 RS, and left 3 rs was with them, the manager got 25 from 27 and remaining rs 2 was kept by bellboy

so total 25+2+3=30

total rent=25

bell boy took 2

three men took each Rs1

so together 25+2+1+1+1=30

Rent of the hotel = Rs25

Amount with boy = Rs 2

Total amount given by friends to hotel

manager(including boy amount) = Rs27 …(Rs25+Rs2)

Therefore there is no meaning of missing rupee.

re 30 given by them

3 returned

so bill according to them is 27

out of 27, 2 is with the w88ier n 25 with the manager:)

This is nothing but a question of mathematical jeopardy.

If we look the problem according to the money spent by each of them i.e (10-1)3 = 27, 1 rupee will seem to be lost.

But look it as follows:

the boy returns 3 rs. out of 5. Hence he has 2 rs. left with him.

So money spent in rent = Rs 28, and the boy has Rs. 2 Thus 28 + 2 = 30

re 30 given by them

3 returned

so bill according to them is 27

out of 27, 2 is with the w88ier n 25 with the manager:)

HELLO TO EVERY BODY

NO DOUBT MONEY CONTRIBUTED BY THREE FRNDS TOWARD RENT =27

NOW SUBSTRACT Rs 2/- WITH DISHONEST BOY =2

RENT CHARGED BY MANAGER =27-2=25

WE HAVE TO START WITH 30-3=27 CONTRIBUTION AND GO BACKWARD TO CACULATE RENT

The remaining Re. 1 is with the hotel manager. To prove lets have two equations:

1:> The total amount paid as rent is Rs. 27/-.

2:> Rs. 25/- is with the hotel manager and Rs. 2/- is with the bell boy.

heloo sir if u r dng (27+2= 9 ) mean the owner has given 7 rs back

its how v hav to CALCULATE

Total Rent 30

amount contributed= 10 + 10 + 10 = 30

moneny returned is 5

we hav to substract frm the total = 30 – (3+2)= 25

so now if u check

money with 3 frnds = 25+3 = 28

remaing 2 rs with hellboy
