Sheikh’s Heritage

This is a simple yet interesting puzzle for you. It might appear to be a little tricky at the beginning but some amount of out-of-the-box thinking can help you to answer it in a jiffy.  So here you go -

How to get the heritage?

An Arab sheikh tells his two sons to race their camels to a distant city to see who will inherit his fortune. The one whose camel is slower will win. The brothers, after wandering aimlessly for days, ask a wise man for advise. After hearing the advice they jump on the camels and race as fast as they can to the city. What does the wise man say?

  1. the wise man could have said to switch their camels

  2. the wise man could have said to switch their camels

  3. the wise man could have said to switch their camels

  4. they will change their camels

  5. As said previously, the wise man said to switch camels. By winning the race on the other’s camel, their own camel will be slower, so they would win the inheritance. Thus, they would race in earnest to the finish.

  6. the wise man told that ….
    to switch camels …

  7. The condition is that one whose CAMEL is slower will win.Suppose the two sons of Sheikh are A and B.So they exchange their camel and then start the race means A sit on B’s camel and B sit on A’s camel.So that A will try to reach first at the destination so that his camel will reach second on which B is sitting and A will clear the condition and same is B try to do.
    @nitesh:-Simple logic dude.:P

  8. if they follow father’s advice no one can win till their death, so the best thing to be done is finish the race as soon as possible and share the price equaly..

  9. the one who reaches earlier to the destination will be at rest with his camel….whereas the other one would be travelling wid some speed…so the one who came first can easily claim to be wid the camel wid lesser speed……and since his camel wud be at 0 units of speed….the other camel wud always be at sum positive speed….hence the one who reaches first will be d ultimate winner
